Kamloops natural gas customers won’t be paying any higher rates for the next 90 days.
Spokesperson Diana Sorace says Fortis BC has received approval from the British Columbia Utilities Commission to keep the cost of gas steady.
“Every three months Fortis BC reviews the cost of gas rates with the British Columbia Utilities Commission and as of April 1st there will be no changes to the cost of gas rates for our natural gas customers in Kamloops and the Interior.”
Sorace says factors affecting the market price of natural gas and propane in North America include weather, supply and demand, and economic conditions.
