The City of Kamloops says planning for another crossing of the Thompson River must begin now.
Engineering Manager Devon Matkowski says discussions must be held in conjunction with the B.C Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
As for possible locations of a fourth span.
“West of Singh Street. Something that connects to the airport, Ord Road, having discussions with M-O-T-I on how the highway works around Kamloops and is there some opportunity to leverage another crossing into that high level long term planning.”
The Singh Street bridge has been shelved since its not required for the next 25 years.
