Kamloops and Thompson Rivers University have formalized a long time cooperation agreement.

The City and TRU entering into a Memorandum of Understanding that builds on the current relationship.

Kamloops Mayor Ken Christian calls it a positive development that both sides will work more closely in the future.

“I think today we were able to formalize that on a number of fronts certainly development within the university precinct, research and looking for business opportunities.”

An official signing of the MOU took place today at the Tournament Capital Centre
