A new year and a new working arrangement for City of Kamloops staff on the Community, Safety, and Enforcement team
The City’s Bylaw Services Manager John Ramsay says instead of staff spread over three offices they will now work out of one.
Ramsay says everyone will move to the bylaw services building on Mission Flats road.
“Having the staff located in one building creates more efficiencies for us. We can then ensure that we have the proper level, the minimum staffing that I was talking about to Council. That we have that available. If a clerk possibly calls in sick then I have another clerk that can cover for her for that day. So I am looking at ways to ensure we are being as efficient as possible with the taxpayer’s dollars.”
He says having everyone under one roof will mean a better allocation of resources and improved response times to public safety concerns.
Editors Note: Angelo Iacobucci passed away December 14th. While we work through our tremendous loss he continues to be a big part of Radio NL as he always will be. We have found a folder of almost 30 stories he had prepared for the holiday season. This is one of them.
