Kamloops RCMP have charged two men with murder and attempted murder in connection to a double shooting in Brock on Friday that left Jason Glover dead.
Gordon Braaten and Hugh McIntosh remain at large, and both are known to police.
“Braaten and McIntosh are from Kamloops, however their current whereabouts is unknown… Both are known to police and known to be involved in the local drug trade here in Kamloops.
At a news conference, Sgt. Nestor Baird said both men are armed and dangerous. He’s urging that people don’t confront either of them and asks for anyone who knows of their whereabouts to call 911.
Braaten is described as Caucasian, 35 years old, six-feet tall and 165 pounds with short brown hair, green eyes, and an athletic build. Police say McIntosh is Caucasian, 51 years old, five-feet-eight-inches tall and 190 pounds with shaved, balding brown hair, green eyes, and a medium build.
Glover died in hospital from injuries after Friday’s shooting. A female shooting victim who hasn’t been identified is expected to survive.
Baird says the RCMP Uniform Gang Enforcement Team, based in the Lower Mainland, remains in Kamloops as police continue to investigate a recent string of high-level violent crimes.
Police haven’t yet made any arrests meanwhile in two homicides that happened on Jan. 23, when 31-year-old Cody Mathieu was killed outside the Valleyview Super 8 Motel before 41-year-old Rex Gill was gunned down at the Comfort Inn in Aberdeen about an hour-and-a-half later.
