Kamloops has been named as one of the top cities in Canada for first-time home buyers by Real Estate Magazine.

They praise the Tournament Capital for having a “relaxed, outdoorsy vibe”, and for its proximity to hiking, skiing, fishing and snow sports.

It also noted Kamloops appeals to millennials with an “arts and culture scene, yoga studios, restaurants and a farmers’ market.”

The magazine goes on to say Kamloops offers the “quintessential BC lifestyle” at a fraction of the costs in Vancouver.

Kamloops was listed alongside Halifax, Nova Scotia and the Ontario cities of London and Guelph.
