It’s grad season and BC Transit is once again hoping to provide students with a safe ride.
The class of 2019 from over 70 communities across the province will once again be able to take advantage of the GradPass program.
BC Transit’s Communications Manager Jonathon Dyck it’s about safety for students. “This is a program that we can get people who might not be taking the bus regularly on the bus and get a safe ride home and also for people that do take the bus regularly, its’ a nice treat to get two free days to help them out.”
He added it’s not just to get to and from the prom. “It’s also about all that other running around you have to do in the month of June as well.”
“Whether is it’s going to get your tux or your dress or go and see friends of go and plan for whatever it might be or see family so you can use it for however you’d like to but as I said, safety is top priority,”
To use their GradPass, graduates just need to scratch off their two chosen days and show the card to their bus driver at the time of boarding.
The cards will be distributed to local schools over the next few days.
