According to the BC Hydro map, power has been fully restored north of Kamloops, around Sun Peaks.
At the peak of it, more than 3,400 BC Hydro customers were without power since just after 8:30 a.m.
There’s no word on what the cause of the outage was.

More than 3,400 BC Hydro customers are without power in Sun Peaks and in parts of the North Thompson this morning.
Power has been off since just after 8:30 a.m., that’s according to BC Hydro. Crews have been assigned, but a cause is still under investigation.
There is no estimated time of restoration at this moment.
Affected areas include Heffley Creek, McLure, Rayleigh, and the Sun Peaks village.
