If you missed out on getting your hands on a pair of ‘Kami the Fish’ socks from the Chamber of Commerce this month, you’re out of luck.
Chamber President Acacia Pangilinan says they won’t be making any more of the grey and yellow socks, after all 250 pairs sold out within 24 hours.
“We’ve definitely come up with quite a few ideas for Kami apparel and toques was on the list because of how cold it gets here in Kamloops,” she said. “Plus, we thought that may be a great opportunity to have options for kids and options for adults and create a new generation of Kami lovers. We’ll see. I’m not saying yes or no, or releasing any secrets.”
Pangilinan says ‘Kami the Fish’ is a collector’s items, adding they don’t want to flood the market with those particular socks.
“We want people to be excited about it. There’ll be no more of those specific socks,” Pangilinan noted. “There may be toques or hats, there may be a new print of socks come this spring, but there’ll be lots of options for Kami lovers out there.”
While speaking on the NL Morning News, Pangilinan would not say when the Chamber plans to release more ‘Kami the Fish’ merchandise, but she said to stay tuned.
