The Canadian Mental Health Association expects an investigation at its Kamloops branch to conclude “within the coming days and weeks.”
The CEO for the BC Division of the Association Johnny Morris says the investigation into the branch started on Sept. 4, and says no programming has been impacted.
“I’m in Kamloops weekly right now to be with staff and make sure that they have guidance and support. And I’ve had the opportunity to meet with staff and to see those services in operation, and can confirm absolutely that the services continue uninterrupted.”
Morris couldn’t say if the investigation is criminal in nature.
The CMHA executive director at the Kamloops Branch Christa Mullaly was suspended with pay on Sept. 13, nine days after the investigation began into the branch.
