A happy ending for Riversong Guitars after a break and enter over the holidays where a rare $6,000 five-string bass guitar was stolen.
On NL Newsday, owner Mike Miltimore says the only other such guitar in existence belongs to Tommy MacDonald, who was the bassist for Canadian rock band Hedley.
“And it just so happened he built a recording studio in Anglemont, and I phoned him up and he just happens to be at his recording studio and his bass isn’t in Ontario like it normally is with his tour gear, it actually is in Angelmont,” Miltimore said.
“So I sent one of our audio-visual technicians to go pick up.”
Miltimore took to facebook to show off the guitar, adding he’s ready to showcase Kamloops-made guitars to the world at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.
He says there will be 200,000 people at that trade show, and he previously told NL not having the bass guitar would have meant a loss of opportunities for his business.
