Several dozen mail-in ballots have already been sent in for the Kamloops Centre for the Arts referendum.
That’s according to chief election officer Deanna Campbell, who was responding to a question from councillor Dieter Dudy asking how shut-ins can vote.
“We made mail ballot voting available, and that’s been advertised quite widely and we’ve actually probably received close to 80 mail ballots already. So I think people are well aware of that option.”
Advanced voting starts two weeks from tomorrow, on March 25 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage House, located at 100 Lorne Street.
Another advanced voting day on April 1 before the referendum on April 4.
