Kamloops Fire Rescue is on scene of reports of a fire in a home on the North Shore.

The fire is at 659 Belmont Crescent, and crews were called there at about 4:30 p.m.

Belmont Cres. and Kemano Street are closed for the time being while emergency crews are at the scene.

It’s not clear how the fire started.

Reports from the scene indicate that the fire has been contained to one room and that nobody has been hurt in the incident.
