The parent company of Shoppers Drug Mart says a case of COVID-19 has been reported at one of its Kamloops stores.
Loblaws says a staff member at its Valleyview location, at 2121 East Trans Canada Highway, has tested positive for the virus. It says that person last worked on Sunday.
Further details of the case have not been provided.
No public alert has been issued in connection to the case. The Interior Health Authority only puts out public alerts of potential exposure if it’s not able to follow up with every person who was potentially exposed.

As of Thursday, there were 57 active cases of COVID-19 across the Interior, and two people were in hospital with the virus. Province-wide, there were 1,920 active cases yesterday and 71 people in hospital with the virus.
