Another COVID-19 exposure has been reported in a Kamloops school.
In a letter sent to parents of Westsyde Secondary School yesterday, principal Chris Preymak says a member of the school community has tested positive for the virus, not specifying whether it was a staff member, a student or a parent.
Preymak says that person is self-isolating at home.
Interior Health says there was a risk for being exposed to the positive case on Nov. 23, 24, 25 and 26. The health authority is now contact tracing, according to the school, which says there is no risk to students unless they are contacted directly.
This is the second COVID-19 exposure in a Kamloops School. On Nov. 15, a case was reported at NorKam Secondary, believed to be a student.
