Interior Health is reporting COVID-19 exposures at two Kamloops schools.
A member of the South Kamloops Secondary School community has tested positive for the virus and is currently self-isolating at home. Interior Health says the exposure was on three days last week – Jan. 4, Jan. 7, and Jan. 8. It was reported in two separate letters to parents.
There was also an exposure of COVID-19 at Arthur Hatton Elementary school on all five school days last week, Jan. 4 to Jan. 8.
Contact tracing is underway, and parents are being reminded that if they are not contacted by Interior Health, their children were not a close contact of the person who tested positive.
These two exposures add to five such events over the fall semester at NorKam Secondary, Westsyde Secondary, Rayleigh Elementary, Aberdeen Elementary, and at the Kamloops School of the Arts.
