Positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected in three more Kamloops schools.
In a release on Sunday evening, the Kamloops-Thompson School District says Juniper Ridge Elementary, South Kamloops Secondary and Valleyview Secondary have each had COVID-19 exposures.
The exposures at Juniper Ridge and Valleyview were both a week ago, on Jan. 11, while the exposure at South Kam was last Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 12 and 13, adding to a previous exposure event on Jan. 7 and 8.
School District 73 spokesperson Diana Skoglund says those who have gotten the virus and those who have been exposed are now self-isolating. She says all families involved were emailed on Sunday about the exposures.
There have now been COVID-19 exposures at 11 schools in the Kamloops-Thompson School District, and six of those have happened in the past two weeks since students returned to class.
