Mounties are looking for a 26-year-old Kamloops man who has been charged after an incident on the weekend.
Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says police were called at 11 p.m. on Saturday night to a possible domestic disturbance on Jasper Avenue. She says while responding, two men were seen in a vehicle nearby who were both known to police and were in breach of probation conditions.
Police found an unspecified amount of drugs and ammunition while responding.
Twenty-six-year-old Cody Housego has now been charged with careless storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm without a license, possessing ammunition while prohibited and for breaching probation.
“Police are releasing Housego’s photo to help further this investigation,” Evelyn says. “We are also seeking to timeline the 24-hours leading up to his arrest.”
Anyone with information on Housego is asked to call Kamloops RCMP and reference file 21-2541.
