Emergency crews responded to a couple of wrecks in downtown Kamloops this morning.
One accident was reported just before 9 a.m. at the notoriously-crash-prone intersection of 6th Avenue and Seymour Street. It appeared to be a T-bone crash involving a pickup truck and an SUV. Injuries from the crash were unclear, and traffic was diverted while the scene was cleared.
A second accident happened about an hour later not far up the road, in the 800-block of Seymour Street, near a roadway to a back alley. It involved a blue sedan and reportedly involved a semi-truck as well. At time of posting, emergency crews remained on scene, but any injuries are unclear.
The exact cause of both accidents remains unclear at this point.
Avoid 6th and Seymour for the next 10-15 minutes or so. Two vehicle crash. Traffic is moving but slow… #Kamloops #Kammute pic.twitter.com/7gFShm7KhO
