A former Kamloops RCMP constable is returning to the detachment as the new Operations Manager.
Inspector Jeff Pelley will oversee General Duty and Investigative Services in the Kamloops area. Most recently, he was Inspector and Officer in Charge of the Williams Lake RCMP Detachment.
“I look forward to being back in the area and working with the women and men at the Kamloops RCMP Detachment,” Pelly said, in a statement.
“Great work is happening here and I’m excited to be able to contribute to advancing the detachment’s strategic priorities, enforcement initiatives, collaborative approaches and continuing the amazing efforts currently underway.”
Pelley grew up in Cache Creek and Ashcroft, and went to university in Kamloops before joining the RCMP in 1999. From Depot, he went to Prince Rupert as a constable before moving to Kamloops in 2003, where he worked in General Duty and Serious Crime until 2006.
In a 22 year RCMP career, Pelley was also a Corporal in 100 Mile House, a Sergeant and Detachment Commander in New Hazelton, and a Staff Sergeant in the North District Advisory role for the Cariboo-Chilcotin.
