Interior Health is reporting a COVID-19 exposure at Bert Edwards Science and Technology School in Kamloops.
According to the IHA school exposure website, the exposure was on April 16 and April 20. It is the first new school exposure in Kamloops in more than two weeks.
As has been the case, students and staff who may have been in direct contact with the person who tested positive for COVID-19 are being contacted by health and school officials with further instructions.
If you’ve not been contact, health officials say it is still safe for your children to go to school as normal.
Elsewhere, there are two COVID-19 exposures in Salmon Arm – at Shuswap Middle School and at Shuswap Adventist School. There are also 15 schools in Kelowna that are currently affected by COVID exposures.
If you have questions or concerns about COVID-19, you’re also asked to contact 811.
