Kamloops RCMP say new information has revealed that the Jeep belonging to missing Kamloops woman Shannon White was seen driving north of the city on the day she disappeared.
Police had said last week that Shannon’s Jeep TJ was seen driving on the Trans-Canada Highway west of city limits on Nov. 1, and, today, police also say it was spotted heading north past Rayleigh around 5:30 p.m. that same day, before it was seen returning south, about 6:15 p.m.
RCMP Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says it is why police are now asking people north and west of Kamloops to look for any clues that could help locate the missing 32-year-old woman.
“Winter is on the way so the more people who are out there looking for Shannon the better. Anyone who lives in or is familiar with some of those rural areas north of the City are asked to please be on the lookout as well,” Evelyn told NL News.
“I know there are some people who keep game cameras and that sort of thing, so if they haven’t checked those cameras in a while, if they could please have a look and see if there is anything that could be helpful as well.”
Shannon White has been missing for over two weeks.
She is believed to have left her home in Lower Sahali around 8 a.m. on Nov. 1, presumably to head to work at Kamloops Hyundai on Notre Dame Drive though she never made it that day. Her Jeep was found parked on Nicola Street in downtown Kamloops the following day – something police and friends of Shannon say is completely unusual.
Over the weekend, police also searched a unit at the Silver Sage trailer park as well as undisclosed area west of Kamloops with members of Kamloops Search and Rescue. Details on both of those searches are currently not clear.
Anyone with information is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
