It is another accolade for Dylan Garand as he was named the WHL Goaltender of the Month for November.
The Kamloops Blazers goalie posted a 7-1 record in November along with a 1.25 goals-against average, a .956 save percentage, and one shutout as Kamloops improved its regular season record to 17-2.
Garand has gone 9-1 in his last 10 starts, posting a 1.25 goals-against average and a .956 save percentage in that time. Five of his wins in November came on the road, including a 41-save effort on Nov. 27 in Everett as the Blazers handed the Silvertips their first regulation loss of the season.
A draft pick of the New York Rangers, Garand was also named the WHL goaltender of the week for the week ending Nov. 7.
This morning, the 19-year-old Victoria native, was also named to Team Canada for the 2022 World Juniors in Edmonton and Red Deer, after having won a silver medal at the 2021 tournament.
Garand and the Blazers are next in action on Friday, Dec. 3 in Langley against the Victoria Giants.
Their next home game is on Saturday, Dec. 4, against the Kelowna Rockets.
