The BC Wildfire Service says it has responded to a number of suspected-human caused wildfires between Kamloops and Falkland throughout the day Monday, May 2.
In a tweet, it says the fires are all under investigation.
“Please be responsible, remain cautious, and do what you can to prevent wildfires,” the BCWS said, Monday afternoon.
As of publishing, there were three spot fires that broke out today listed on the BC Wildfire Service map. A separate fire on the George Creek Forest Service Road, northwest of Monte Lake, that broke out on Saturday, April 30, is being held at 0.30 hectares.
Another fire further down the George Creek FSR that broke out last Tuesday, April 26, is currently being classified as under control.
