Mark Holick will not return to the Kamloops Blazers next season.
Friday morning, the Blazers announced that the Penticton native has stepped down as Associate Coach for personal reasons after one season with the team.
“The Kamloops Blazers would like to thank Mark for his time with the Blazers and enjoyed having him as part of the staff,” a statement from the Blazers said. “The hockey club would like to wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavours.”
Holick joined the Blazers in August last year, taking over from Cory Clouston, the brother of Blazers Head Coach and General Manager, Shaun Clouston.
Prior to joining the Blazers, Holick was head coach of the Kootenay Ice from 2007 to 2010 and again with the Prince George Cougars from 2013 to 2016.
The Penticton native has also coached in the AJHL, BCHL, and the AHL.
The Blazers will now being a search for a replacement as they prepare to host the 2023 Memorial Cup.
