The victims in Thursday morning’s triple-fatal crash in Vinsulla have been identified in an online fundraiser.
Natalie Evans, her mother, Daphne, and four-week old Troy Jr. were killed in a crash with a semi just before 11 a.m. on June 16.
Two-year old Adonai was also taken to BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver in a critical condition, where he remains in a coma.
Police say the four of them were in a northbound Nissan when it crossed the centre median and crashed into a southbound semi. Cpl. Chris Manseau told NL News the reason why the Nissan crossed the centre media is “currently unknown.”
In a Facebook post, Samantha Price says she is hoping to raise $50,000 to support Natalie’s husband, Troy, who was following the rest of his family in a moving truck bound for Alberta.
“We know the coming weeks are going to be extremely challenging for Troy and the other family members that have been left behind,” Price wrote.
“As friends of the family, we are fervently praying for little Adonai’s recovery and for peace and strength for Troy. We also want to do all we can to ease the financial burden of the memorial service and Troy’s living expenses as he recovers.”
A second GoFundMe – created by Erin Kotha – is hoping to raise another $10,000 for the family
Manseau says the Central Interior BC Highway Patrol unit is leading the investigation into the crash.
