The Kamloops Blazers have signed forward Nathan Behm to a standard WHL player agreement.
The Blazers traded up to get the 13th overall pick which they used to take the 2007-born Calgary native.
“I’m just really excited to go to a world class organization,” Behm told NL Sports in May. “[It will be] 100 per cent the WHL for me, and I’m excited to get going. I just want to do anything to help the team.”
In 29 games with the Edge U-15 Prep team this past season, Behm put up 28 goals and 29 assists for 57 points. He also added six goals and 11 points in four playoff games.
“We are excited to welcome Nathan and his family to the Blazers organization,” Blazers GM/Head Coach, Shaun Clouston said.
“We look forward to watching Nathan grow and develop over the coming years.”
Behm is the first player from the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft signed by the Blazers. They drafted a total of 12 players, seven forwards, four defensemen, and a goaltender.
