ORIGINAL – Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Kamloops and Merritt area this afternoon.
It says meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is capable of producing up to nickel size hail.
“This thunderstorm is 20 km northeast of Douglas Lake, and 30 km southwest of Monte Lake, and is travelling northeastwards at 50 km/h,” the weather agency said.
