Kamloops Blazers forward Fraser Minten has been added to Canada’s National Junior Team summer development camp roster.
The Vancouver native will be hoping to crack the final roster for the 2023 World Juniors set to take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick.
A second round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2022 NHL Draft, Minten, had 55 points (20 goals and 35 assists) in 67 regular season games for the Blazers last season.
He followed that up with 16 points (six goals and 10 assists) in 17 playoff games.
Blazers Head Coach and GM, Shaun Clouston, is also heading to camp in Calgary as part of the coaching staff.
Both Logan Stankoven and Dylan Garand were part of Team Canada at the 2022 World Juniors, which was cancelled because of COVID-19. The tournament will be replayed this August with both Stankoven and Garand eligible to return.
The 19-year-old Stankoven is also eligible to play in the 2023 tournament.
