Kamloops RCMP are looking for witnesses after a report of multiple gunshots fired led to a large police presence in Dallas last night.
Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to the 200-block of Andover Crescent around 10:30 p.m., July 19, where they found “evidence of gunshots fired,” but adds no one appeared to have been injured.
In a statement Wednesday, Evelyn says a number of vehicles and people were seen yelling in a nearby parking lot around that time, which police believe is related to this incident.
“Police are reaching out to anyone who saw anything before or around the time of the reported shots, as well as anyone who has video footage available to please contact police,” Evelyn said.
“At the time of the incident, a number of vehicles were reported in the area. We are hopeful someone saw something involving those vehicles that may help us further the investigation into what transpired and those who are responsible.”
She says the Kamloops police dog team, the Serious Crime Unit, and the Forensic Identification team are all investigating as well.
