Logan Stankoven had a goal and two assists as the Kamloops Blazers beat the Tri-City Americans 6-1 on Wednesday night, given them points in five straight games.
After a scoreless first period, Fraser Minten and Caedan Bankier notched powerplay goals 39 seconds apart at 6:14 and 6:39 in the second period to put Kamloops up first in front of 2,814 fans at the Toyota Center.
Lukas Dragicevic pulled one back for the home team late in second, though Daylan Kuefler ensured the visitors would end the period with a two goal cushion, when he scored in the final minute of action.
Stankoven, Bankier, and Drew Englot all had goals in the third period to put the game out of reach for the home team.
Dylan Ernst stopped 26 of 27 shots he faced for his ninth WHL win of the season, while Tomas Suchanek made 33 saves in a losing effort for Tri-City.
Next up for the Blazers is a home game against the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday, Nov. 25. Puck drop from the Sandman Centre is at 7 p.m.
