Tickets for the 2023 Memorial Cup will go on sale to the general public this Thursday, Dec. 1.
In a statement Monday, the Canadian Hockey League announced that full tournament packages will cost you $600 plus GST and fees. That is up from the 2022 tournament held in St. John, New Brunswick, which cost either $390 or $460 plus taxes and fees.
“Our goal is to give all the teams the opportunity to play before a packed arena each night. We want you to feel the excitement throughout the stands and streets of Kamloops,” Blazers president Norm Daley said in a statement this morning.
“Whether you are a local, or from anywhere in our great country, get your tickets quickly to join us in the excitement.”
Organizers of the 2023 tournament say there are limited ticket, though any fans who buy before Dec. 15 will get a printed Commemorative Souvenir Ticket Package.
As well, the schedule for the Memorial Cup, which runs from May 26 to June 4 of next year, has also been released.
The Kamloops Blazers will open their campaign on May 26 against the Quebec League champions. They’ll follow it up by facing the OHL champions on May 28, and take on the WHL champions on May 31.
If needed, the tie-breaker game will be played on June 1, with the semi=final on June 2, and the final on June 4.
“As our host committee gets down to work, exciting details are coming together making this event come to life,” Host Organizing Committee chair, Yves Lacasse, added.
“‘Shine Together – Together We Shine’ is a great representation of what we are striving to achieve both inside the arena and out.”
More details regarding the 2023 Memorial Cup including volunteer sign-up information will be announced at a later date.
