A key member of the TRU Wolfpack Men’s Soccer Program became a 1st round pick in Thursday’s Canadian Premier League – U Sports draft.

With the eighth pick in the first round, Atletico Ottawa selected TRU WolfPack standout Akwasi Agyekum.

Starting every game for the national champion WolfPack this year, the defensive midfielder was a standout defensive player, playing a key role in the championship tournamnent.

Agyekum was named the Championship MVP.

He will join an Ottawa squad that has been in the CPL since 2020.
