A record-breaking Radiothon here on Radio NL for the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation yesterday.
Kamloopsians raised $260,220 for the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation over 12 hours, with the money set to directly benefit staff and patients at the Kamloops hospital.
“Year after year we are in awe of the way people of this community come together to support our hospital,” Coleman said. “Your time, support, and generosity made the difference to ensure we can purchase critical pieces of equipment at the hospital for benefiting patients and staff all over our region.”
“It just warms heart because as you’ve heard on the radio, we are going to be buying equipment and the more we raised, then we would buy more equipment.”
Over the nine years, Radiothon has raised around $1.5 million for the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation.
“I couldn’t be prouder. Its a wonderful day,” Coleman added.
“I want to thank my team here and Radio NL and of course I have to thank Rob who’s been here from Sun Country Toyota but all of the sponsors as well. It’s a huge community event.”
