The only Zellers store in the B.C. Interior will open its doors on Tuesday, April 4.
Located inside the Hudson’s Bay at Aberdeen Mall in Kamloops, that is when the iconic Canadian brand – where the lowest price is the law – will make its grand return to the Tournament Capital, more than a decade after its Sahali Mall location closed down in 2012.
April 4 is also when other Zellers stores in B.C., Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Saskatchewan will open, following similar openings in Alberta and Ontario in recent weeks. Others B.C. locations include Pacific Centre in Vancouver, Guildford Town Centre in Surrey, and 7 Oaks Shopping Centre in Abbotsford.
Each Zellers store-within-a-store will be between 8,000 and 10,000 square feet, depending on the location.
“With the launch of Zellers.ca, people across the country have already rekindled their love affair with the brand,” the company said in a news release.
“While we are eager to open our doors to the stores, the Zellers Diners on Wheels are still refuelling. Not to fret, they will be back on the road and pulling up in all these communities over a series of days.”
A schedule for the roving diner – which will be selling the Big Z Burger, hot chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken fingers, as well as fries and gravy – will be released soon.
