The Kamloops Blazers have signed 2007-born forward Zach Pantelakis to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The North Vancouver native put up 18 points (six goals and 12 assists) in 28 games with the Delta Hockey Academy Under-18 program this past season.
The five-foot-ten Pantelakis was a fifth round selection of the Blazers in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
“We would like to welcome Zach and his family to the Kamloops Blazers organization,” Blazers Head Coach and General Manager, Shaun Clouston, said.
“We look forward to being a part of his development over the coming years.”
Pantelakis is the fifth 2007-born player to have signed with the Blazers joining goaltender Logan Edmonstone, forwards Nathan Behm and Andrew Thomson, and defensemen Isa Guram.
The 2023 WHL Prospects Draft is scheduled to take place on May 11. The Blazers do not have a first round pick in this year’s draft, having traded the pick to the Everett Silvertips in the January 8 trade that brought Olen Zellweger and Ryan Hofer to Kamloops.
