The Chief Executive Officer of the Bonaparte First Nation has been ousted from his job.

Sean Bennett’s contract with the band was ended on Monday, May 15.

When reached by RadioNL, he declined to comment beyond confirming that he had been let go.

Bennett had been working as the Bonaparte First Nation’s Natural Resources Manager since the Fall of 2020. He took over as CEO in Feb. 2021.

RadioNL has also reached out to the Bonaparte First Nation, though calls and emails have yet to be returned.
