The Kamloops Blazers have signed 2007-born forward Hudson Closson to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Closson put up 36 points (17 goals and 19 assists) in 26 games with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Under-17 team this past season. The six-foot-two forward also had a pair of assists in three games with the Under-18 team.
A native of Cobble Hill on Vancouver Island, Closson was listed by the Blazers in January this year.
“We would like to welcome Hudson and his family to the Kamloops Blazers organization,” Blazers Head Coach and General Manager, Shaun Clouston, said.
“We look forward to being a part of his development.”
Closson is the sixth 2007-born player to sign with the Blazers, joining goaltender Logan Edmonstone, defenseman Isa Guram, and forwards Nathan Behm, Andrew Thomson, and Zach Pantelakis.
