The Kamloops Blazers scored five unanswered goals in a 5-2 come-from-behind win over the Tri-City Americans Saturday night.
The win moves the Blazers to a 3-9-2 record, giving them their first win streak of the season.
It was also win number 549 for Blazers Head Coach and GM Shaun Clouston, moving him past Ernie “Punch” McLean for seventh on the WHL’s all-time list. He is 23 wins away from tying Mike Williamson (572 wins) for sixth all-time.
As was the case Friday night, the Americans scored the first two goals, both courtesy Parker Bell. The Calgary Flames prospect struck at 4:59 and 8:38 of the second period.
Logan Bairos cut the lead in half with a power play goal at 10:56 of the second. He beat Lukas Matecha with a shot from the point for this third goal of the season.

The Blazers then scored four third period goals – a pair from Dylan Sydor to go with a pair of empty netters from Ashton Ferster and Andrew Thomson – to pick up their second win of the weekend.
Sydor’s goals at 2:47 and 16:00 gives him a team-leading nine this year and five in his last three games. Connor Levis added three assists on the night to lead all Blazers with 14 points this season.

Dylan Ernst turned aside 25 of 27 shots he faced for his second win in as many nights. Matecha stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced for his second loss of the weekend.
The Blazers will finish the weekend in Langley with a game against the Vancouver Giants.
Their next home game will be on Friday, Nov. 3, hosting the Red Deer Rebels, a game that could see Fraser Minten make his season debut.
It’ll also be the return of former defenceman Mats Lindgren, who was traded to the Rebels for Kyle Masters last summer.
