Dylan Ernst turned aside all 29 shots he faced as the Kamloops Blazers shutout the Tri-City Americans 3-0 Friday night.
Defencemen Samuel Borschowa and Matteo Koci also scored their first career WHL goals at the Toyota Center as the Blazers picked up their first road win of the season.
Kamloops also took the season series over Tri-City, winning three of four games against the Americans.
Borschowa opened the scoring at 6:03 of the second period. The 18-year-old connected on a cross ice pass from Josh Kelly and put his shot past a flailing Lukas Matecha in the Tri-City net.

Koci, the 18-year-old Czech defenceman, then doubled the Blazers lead 2:35 later after he redirected a shot from Logan Bairos past Matecha.

Shea Van Olm rounded out the scoring at 14:31 of the third period to effectively seal the win for Kamloops.

Ernst was stellar in the Blazers net, and was named the game’s first star. Borschowa and Koci were named second and third star respectively.
Matecha was the busier of the two goaltenders on the night. He stopped 33 of 36 shots in a losing effort.
The Blazers will head to Spokane for a game against the Chiefs Saturday night.
Their next home game will be on Wednesday, Nov. 22, when the Lethbridge Hurricanes stop by Sandman Centre on their B.C. Division road trip.
