Kamloops area drivers may expect to see some delays during their commute on Wednesday.

Southbound traffic on Highway 5 will be reduced to one lane at Kamloops New East Bridge on December 6 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

It comes as crews will be doing electrical maintenance on the bridge.

The province says single lane southbound traffic will occur between Shuswap Road and the Yellowhead.

Drivers can expect delays during the closure and should plan for extra travel time.
