Kamloops Blazers defenceman Harrison Brunicke has cracked NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings ahead of the 2024 NHL Draft.
The 17-year-old – who will suit up for Team Red at the 2024 CHL Top Prospects Game later this month – is ranked 67th among all North American skaters.
Brunicke has 14 points (five goals and nine assists) in 35 games this season, surpassing the eight points (four goals and four assists) he put up during his 16-year-old season.
In October, Brunicke earned a C rating in NHL Central Scouting’s preliminary players to watch list, indicating a possible fourth or fifth round draft pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, which is scheduled for June.
Blazers prospects Austin Burnevik (80th), Mac Swanson (130th), and Kaden Shahan (155th) have also cracked the list released Friday. The trio of American forwards are all playing the USHL – Burnevik in Madison, Swanson in Fargo, and Shahan in Sioux City.

Kelowna Rockets forward Tij Iginla, son of Blazers legend Jarome Iginla, is ranked 11th among North American skaters.
Merritt twins Jaxsin and Corbin Vaughn – who both play for the Regina Pats – were also ranked. Corbin, a defenceman, was 136th while Jaxsin, a forward, was 148th among North American skaters.
The 2024 NHL Draft is expected to be held on June 28 and 29 at Sphere in Las Vegas.
