The Kamloops Blazers were unable to hang on to a second period lead, as the fell 5-3 to the Prince George Cougars Sunday night.
The loss snaps the Blazers four game winning streak, though Kamloops has wins in five of their last seven games.
The Blazers surrendered the first two goals of the game to Zac Funk and Bauer Dumanski, but they came right back to sit at 2-2 after 20 minutes of hockey at the CN Centre.
Emmitt Finnie scored at 16:09 to extend his point streak to eight games, before Max Sullivan tied things up less than two minutes later.

Ryan Michael gave their Blazers their first lead of the night against the BC Division leading Cougars when he scored the only goal of the second period as his shot from the point found its way past Joshua Ravensbergen.

The Cougars – who outshot the Blazers 26 to 7 in the second and third periods – scored three unanswered in the final frame to come away with the win. Carlin Dezainde scored a pair before Funk’s second of the night – and league-leading 46th of the season – gave Prince George the two points in the Sunday afternoon matinee.
Blazers goaltender Jesse Sanche made 31 saves on 36 shots in a losing effort. Ravensbergen stopped 11 of 14 to pick up the win.
The Blazers fall to 14-29-3-2, and sit in last place in the WHL standings with 33 points in 48 games. They’re nine points out of a playoff spot with 20 games left to play.
The Cougars are third in the Western Conference with a 33-15-0-2 record, good for 71 points in 49 games.
Next up for the Blazers is a pair of home games at Sandman Centre on Wednesday, Feb. 7, against the Seattle Thunderbirds, and Friday, Feb. 9 against the Kelowna Rockets.
Puck drop on both nights is set for at 7 p.m.
