The Kamloops Blazers have traded goaltender Jesse Sanche to the Everett Silvertips for 18 year-old defenceman Nico Tsakumis and a second round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
The trade will free up a logjam in the Blazers crease with the emergence of 16-year-old Logan Edmonstone. The Blazers will also have veteran goaltender Dylan Ernst back for his overage WHL season.
Tsakumis, a six-foot, 185lb left shot from Richmond, comes to the Blazers with 101 games of WHL experience where he has five goals and 19 assists for 24 points with Everett and Seattle.
Sanche was selected by the Blazers in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
The Kelowna native had a 6-17-1-1 record with a 4.66 goals against average and a .872 save percentage in 30 games with the Blazers this past season.
Here’s the move. Blazers move Jesse Sanche to Everett for a nice return. The emergence of G Edmonstone makes this deal happen. A 2nd, and a D I’ve always liked in Tsakumus https://t.co/2LC7c6zlfC
