Kamloops RCMP say a 46-year-old man is facing charges after he threw rocks and yelled at children at a downtown playground on Tuesday afternoon.
Mounties say they were called to reports of a disturbance on the 200-block of St. Paul Street – near Stuart Wood School – around 12:15 p.m. on July 23.
“Officers located and arrested a suspect, who was held in custody for a bail hearing,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.
Evelyn says Ali Bedjaoui has been charged with mischief “related to the interruption of use and enjoyment of a park” as well as for causing a disturbance by throwing rocks and yelling.
Bedjaoui was remanded into custody with a court appearance this Friday, July 26.
