After weeks of waiting, the BC NDP has finally chosen its candidate for the Kamloops-North Thompson riding.
An official announcement by the Riding Association will be held tomorrow morning at an event in Valleyview.
No details at this point about who the Party has chosen.
However, the Riding Association had previous confirmed to Radio NL the Party was only vetting one candidate for Kamloops-North Thompson, meaning there was no expectation of a nomination race.
BC United MLA Todd Stone has already confirmed he intends to run in Kamloops-North Thompson in October.
The BC Conservative candidate is Barriere Mayor Ward Stamer.
The New Democrats have already chosen Kamal Grewal to be the Party’s candidate in the new Kamloops Centre riding.
She’ll be contesting the riding against current Kamloops North Thompson BC United MLA Peter Milobar, Dennis Giesbrecht from the BC Conservatives and Randy Sunderman of the BC Green Party.
