A young Kamloops product has been recogized by the KIJHL for his offensive outburst this past week.
16 year old Aaron Zulinick has been tapped as League’s “Young Guns” selection, after a five point performance in back-to-back road games for the Kamloops Storm.
Zulinick helped the Storm double up the Creston Valley Thunder Cats last Friday 6-3, scoring a goal and adding a pair of assists.
The Kamloops native followed that up the next day with a goal and an assist in the Storm’s 4-3 loss to Fernie on Saturday.
“He is a super talented defenseman who is starting to realize that offence starts with defense,” said Storm Head Coach Jan Ludvig.
Listed at 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, Ludvig says his young defenseman is learning to “play the game the right way,” with 8 points — including 5 goals — so far this season.
Zulinick and the Storm are back in action Friday, at home to Creston Valley.
