Another day of searching on Sunday for a Kamloops man who has not been for over 10 days.
Kamloops Search and Rescue — along with teams from the Shuswap and Vernon — were out yesterday, using drones, in the hunt for 45-year old Paul Guthrie.
“KSAR is receiving mutual aid support from Shuswap Search and Rescue with command assistance from Vernon Search And Rescue Group Society,” noted Kamloops Search and Rescue in a post announcing its continued search into Sunday. “Hummingbird Drones are being activated.”
It’s not clear if any headway or new information about Guthrie’s disappearance was discovered over the weekend.
So far, authorities are providing little information as to where the searches are taking place, or what they believe the circumstances surrounding Guthrie’s disappearance might be.
KSAR did confirm that its teams were sent out on Saturday to the Chuwhels Mountain area southwest of Kamloops.
While not disclosing where they suspect Guthrie may have gone, they do suggest he was mobile; noting he is “associated” with a 2015 black Jeep Cherokee, with BC License Plate VL8 74K.
“[His] family have not heard from Guthrie since December 19th,” noted Kamloops RCMP in a release. “Which is out of character for him, and they are concerned for his wellbeing.”
45 year old Guthrie is described a 6-foot-1 white man with a slender build, with blonde hair and brown eyes.
