Both directions of Highway 1 east of Savona are currently closed while emergency responders attend the scene of a fatal collision.
Police were called at around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday Jan. 2, for a two vehicle collision.
Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment attended the scene. One person has died as a result of the collision and three others were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
“Motorists are asked to please avoid the area and watch DriveBC for updates related to the closure,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment spokesperson.
