The Kamloops Blazers have added to their group of forwards today with the acquisition of 20 year-old F Beau Courtney from the Everett Silvertips. A 7th round WHL prospects pick in 2026 goes to the Silvertips in exchange.
Courtney is said to be a hard-working trustworthy player who will contribute offensively. He’s played 198 games in the WHL over the past four seasons. He scored 17 goals and added 15 assists last season while scoring four times with five assists in 31 games. He is NCAA committed to University of Alaska-Fairbanks for next season.
The Blazers now have four 20 year-olds on their roster along with G Dylan Ernst, F Oren Shtrom & D Layton Feist. They will need to get back down to three. It means another move is likely coming.
The WHL trade deadline falls on Thursday at 5PM PT.
